ANNOTATION
Yurchak E.V. Activities of L.D. Yurchak in establishment and
development of study on environmental bases of chemical plant interaction in

The beginning of Ukrainian national rebirth characterizes the specific feature
of modern nature study paradigm with heightened interest to the evolution of
scientific ideas, creative activities of scientific schools, and reframed findings of
domestic scientists largely contributing the establishment and development of
agrobiological science and research activities, and requiring unbiased evaluation
amidst the market economy and European integration of the country.
In this context, an important task is to comprehensively study the carrier of
Larysa Demianivna Yurchak, the doctor of agricultural science, allelopathy
researcher (1937‒2010), since she was actively participating in the very foundation
of chemical plant interaction studies (allelopathy) in Ukraine, and greatly
contributed further development of this scientific area.
The analysis of thesis issue development status, i.e., the activities of
L.D. Yurchak in establishment and development of environmental bases study of
chemical plant interaction in Ukraine in 60s of the 20th – early 21st cent.,
evidenced the lack of systemic research and documenting in scientific literature of
the scientist’s findings that updates the given research.
Historiography of the thesis subject was used in comparative historical
analysis of the scientific literature, which is conventionally divided into two basic
