In today’s conditions of Ukrainian statehood research and rethinking are
particular important on the new methodological principles of historical progress of the
agrarian science of Ukraine, that evolved against the background of radical political,
social and economic changes. The distinct transformations are the period of the late 20’s
and 30’s of the last century, when the search for forms and methods for the
development of branch research case unfolded.
The initial and decisive stage of the study is the review of the evolution of
agrarian scientific thought in the historiographic space. Its results reflected
contradictory process of formation of scientific discourse, especially during the Soviet
period.
The analysis showed the existence of complex historiographical works that
objectively without ideological stratification reveal the genesis of scientific and
organizational aspects of agricultural science and research case in Ukraine. At the same
time there are some classical Soviet works that characterized by its diversity of thematic
content publications. The indicated informative potential is meaningful and contributes
to a critical rethinking of the historical process in the late 20–30’s of the last century.
The works of the state independence period are unbiased. They distribute in the
directions of the agrarian sector, reproducing the development of their scientific
support.
The generalizations allowed stating the absence of scientific systemic works
devoted to the development of domestic branch research case in the period of its
institutionalization and the formation of the academic process.
