Ukrainian SSR, on the territory of the BASSR it was possible to adapt a number of
valuable crops, as well as to identify preventive measures to combat the diseases of
domestic animals.
Particular attention is paid to the development of agricultural science sector in
system of Ukrainian SSR Academy of Sciences during 1945–1956. The basic reasons
of the first official representation of agricultural science in the structure of the USSR
are revealed. On the basis of documentary research papers historiographical research
scientists and development of agricultural science is formed an integral vision of the
evolution process of sectoral research affairs during 1945–1956. Grounded the basic
directions of research institutions in the Department of Agricultural Sciences of the
Ukrainian SSR and noted the results of their work. The development of agricultural
institutions and political processes against agrarians in the late 1940’s and their
influence on the further development of agrarian science are considered.
The process of restructuring of research institutions Department of Agricultural
Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR, in connection with the decisions of the September
plenum of the Central Committee and the October plenum of the Communist Party of
Central Committee in 1953 revealed negative trends undue influence on the activity
of Soviet power a number of institutions of agricultural profile of the Ukrainian SSR,
with on the other hand, positive developments in agrarian science are highlighted. In
particular, the results of the research institutes of agricultural sciences department,
who introduced into practice, promoting the gradual rise of the agricultural sector of
the country.
The basic reasons and preconditions, liquidation of the Department of
Agricultural Sciences of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR and
formation of the Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (UAAS) are revealed.
The restoration of the activity of the branch academy meant a return to research
activity based on the principle that operated during 1931–1935. In particular, the
strong link between the institutes of the biological department of the Academy of
Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR and the UAAS was emphasized. At the same time,
