analysis of historiography and archival sources for the first time opened the
interrelation of research institutions and agricultural direction of UAS-AUAS-AS of
the Ukrainian SSR with scientific institutions of profile Academy of Sciences (All-
Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Ukrainian Academy of Agricultural
Sciences).
The thesis consists of an introduction, four chapters, conclusions, list of sources
and applications.
The urgency and scientific novelty of the dissertation research are revealed. The
relationship of work with the received results is shown. The purpose, task, object and
object of the dissertation are substantiated. The chronological and territorial
boundaries of the research are determined and substantiated. The main research
methods are highlighted.
The author analyzes the historiography of the problem of the formation and
development of agricultural science in the structure of the Academy of Sciences. It
was established that some aspects of the development of agrarian science in the
system of UAS-AUAS-AS of Ukrainian SSR during 1918–1963 were not studied.
In the dissertation research the source base is comprehensively disclosed. A
number of archival materials used in the dissertation became the basis for
highlighting the main problems of the development of agricultural science in the
system of UAS-AUAS-AS of the Ukrainian SSR.
In order to deepen the historical-analytical study of the problem of the
development of agrarian science in the system of UAS-AUAS-AS of the Ukrainian
SSR during 1918–1963 periodization of the development of branch research was
carried out. The main features of the formation of agrobiological institutions of UAS-
AUAS-AS of the Ukrainian SSR in 1920’s–1930’s and their evolution during
1940’s – early 1960’s were highlighted.
In the dissertation research the main causes, predecessors and preconditions of
the formation of natural and agricultural institutions of the Ukrainian Academy of
Sciences are considered. The role of scientists of the natural sciences section of the
Ukrainian Scientific Society in the formation of agricultural institutions is revealed.
